There is no shortage of Hispanic eatery options in the Kissimmee area, with a high population of Latin locals expressing their support. Having that said, Chef Sebastian Amico, alongside Manager Jose Jaime Marti, have created a menu at Don Pepito Tropical Eatery that delivers a gourmet taste to familiar Hispanic favorites.

Paella De Carnes

One of the better paellas in town, the flavor is rich and offers a satisfying, savory profile. An order of paella is intended for sharing, being loaded with chicken, pork ribs, sausage, and skirt steak.

Trifongo

I’ve tried Mofongo before, but this Trifongo was mouth-watering! It’s mashed with a combination of fried green plantains, sweet ripe plantains, and cassava, with salt, garlic and oil in the mix. The sauce blew me away, serving amplified Latin flavor.

A very clever Tres Leches served in a glass, as opposed to being presented as a cake. The glass allows the cake to retain the sweet milkiness of the evaporated milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream.

Vibe & Environment

Though I visited during a calm day of the week, I’ve heard that this spot is notorious for having a lively ambience during the weekend with live music. I greatly appreciate how spacious the restaurant is, accepting extremely large party sizes.

That special blend of latin influences

Having tried numerous Latin food spots in the South Orlando area, I was pleasantly surprised at how impressive this spot executed their dishes. The dishes felt gourmet while capturing that homemade kitchen taste. I would definitely recommend this spot, especially if you have a large party! Stay hungry.

Check them out!
